Colwyn Bay businesswoman targets expansion with launch

"I have never owned my own business before, and I am excited by the challenges ahead."
Sandra Gee

A medic is set to ‘revive’ homeowners’ ovens back to their former glory, after launching an oven valeting firm in Colwyn Bay.

Sandra Gee has started out in business with Ovenu, having spent 17 years working in the offshore industry as a medic.

Sandra, 45 has plans to expand the franchise, once she has established it across the town, including taking on sub-contractors in the future.

Ovenu Colwyn Bay serves homes and businesses across the town, and all surrounding areas.

Sandra was recommended to Ovenu through her time working offshore as some of her colleagues own and operate Ovenu franchises in the UK.

She said: “I have never owned my own business before, and I am excited by the challenges ahead. My vast experience working with people and supporting them will put me in good stead to operating a franchise. I had known about the Ovenu brand for some time and it came highly recommended by people I’ve worked with in the past and know well.

“I am now looking forward to establishing Ovenu throughout Colwyn Bay, with a view to expanding the business in due course with my own workforce of sub-contractors as it grows.”

Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.

Rik Hellewell, Founder and Managing Director of Ovenu, added: “Sandra possesses many qualities that make for hardworking and successful Ovenu franchisees. I would like to wish her all the very best with in her new career and look forward to supporting her growth ambitions.”

The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
