Have you ever wanted to show the world just how fast you can roll a burrito? Have you amazed friends and family at gatherings with the speed of your rolling skills? Have you wanted to help the homeless in the city of Manchester too?
If so then we have the challenge for you. Leading office food delivery company City Pantry has partnered with restaurant brand Chilango to present the City Pantry Challenge.
As well as winning two week's free breakfast for you and your colleagues, you can help feed Manchester's less fortunate at the same time.
If you and your colleagues are chosen to participate in the challenge, City Pantry will give you a free Friday lunch for you and your office.
And if you’re the winning team, you’ll win two week’s free breakfast for you and your colleagues - which is quite the tasty prize.
The best part? Once we have a winner, Chilango will donate 20 meals every week for one whole year to local homeless charity Mustard Tree.
For the past 25 years, Mustard Tree has supported people across Greater Manchester in poverty and facing homelessness.
Enter the City Pantry Challenge to not only feed your team, but feed the city too. City Pantry is calling for contestants in teams of three to pit their burrito rolling skills against other office-based teams and The City Pantry Challenge will take place on Friday 18th October, with participating teams judged by Chilango's expert chefs.
What do you need to do?
If you think you have what it takes, simply enter your team via the City Pantry website
before Friday October 11.
Successful participants will be contacted directly by email to take part in the filmed attempt on Friday October 18, all done in a single lunch hour at Chilango’s on Oxford Road.
Lukas Roth of City Pantry said. “This is a fun but incredibly hard challenge so it’s not for the fainthearted. Especially under the scrutiny of the experienced chef’s from our partner Chilango who are working with us on this attempt.
“City Pantry are so pleased to be working with our nominated charity Mustard Tree too who help the homeless here in Manchester every day.
“The winner will not only win lunch for their team but Mustard Tree will receive a weekly food donation for 20 people every week for a year, so please do come and be part of this event.
“I’m so pleased we can make a difference to so many people whilst also having a great challenge.”
