The Wellington Hotel, on Main Road, will be offering a free drink between Monday 27 January and Friday 31 January, to raise a toast to the new management team.
General manager, David Hurt, will be inviting locals to meet the friendly team and take a look around the quintessentially British country pub. As a pale ale enthusiast and a Hexham resident himself, David is keen to welcome people from the area along to enjoy the beautifully decorated interiors, great food and expertly chosen drinks range the pub has to offer.
Even better, the Wellington Hotel encourages guests to bring four-legged friends along too, and David’s own dog, Scamp, can often be found greeting locals on arrival. At the heart of the traditional, dog-friendly pub is an open fireplace, making the Wellington Hotel the perfect pitstop during a walk in the local area

The Wellington Hotel has a great value two-course supper club menu available for £13.79, served from 4pm Monday to Thursday. The set menu includes favourites such as Atlantic Cod and Chips, as well as hand-finished Steak & Red Wine Pie, Chicken & Woodland Mushroom Pie and the Chef’s Veggie or Vegan Burger. If you treat yourself to a third course, the delicious pudding choices include Millionaire’s Cheesecake, Eton Mess Sundae and a Vegan Chocolate & Raspberry Torte.
On Sundays, the Wellington Hotel offers a fabulous selection of roasts – all served with glazed seasonal veg, Yorkshire pudding, sausage meat stuffing, garlic & rosemary goose fat roast potatoes and lashings of gravy.
