"Its great reward and recognition for my team who have put together some outstanding deals in the last 12 months and made a significant difference to the businesses involved. "
Gary Cain, Managing Director

The team has been recognised in the Commercial Broker Awards 2020 for helping over 100 UK SME businesses release c £50m of funding that was tied up in the debtor book – its best ever performance.

Over 400 people tuned into the online event last week which presented 14 awards across a range of categories. Reach was also shortlisted for two other accolades, Cashflow Broker of the Year and SME Champion Award.

MD Gary Cain, said he was delighted to have won: “It’s great reward and recognition for my team who have put together some outstanding deals in the last 12 months and made a significant difference to the businesses involved.”

Reach works alongside business professionals to source everything from Confidential Factoring, Full Factoring, Single Debtor Finance as well as Confidential Invoice Discounting.

Gary explained: “For those clients looking at invoice finance solutions we don’t just consider the underlying financials and past performance. We go beyond this to study in detail what the client is trying to achieve, whether that be stabilising the business, changing funding arrangements or planning for growth.

He added: “We always meet clients face to face - we are a bit old fashioned like that! Helps us keep them very much at the forefront of everything that we do.

On the culture of late payments he commented: “This always hits SMEs hardest as they often don’t have enough short-term liquidity. Not only have we helped these businesses absorb the impact of late payments, but we have given them the ability to invest and grow. I am thrilled that this approach has been recognised by our industry.”

The 11-strong Reach team deals with companies in a variety of sectors via 18 regional Leonard Curtis offices, providing funding options using extensive UK-wide connections and experience.

NACFB, who ran the awards initiative for the first time this year, has a trade membership of over 1600 commercial finance brokers across the UK, and champions the highest levels of professionalism, industry and regulatory standards.
