An apprentice at West Lancashire firm Acumen Financial Partnership says lockdown helped him focus on becoming a fully qualified adviser.

Daniel Frampton, who’s 21, finished The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) apprenticeship four months early despite some of his exams being cancelled.

The former NHS administrator joined Acumen two years ago and has already proved his commitment to the Burscough-based company.

Angela Maher, Director, Acumen Financial Partnership said:

“We’ve been really impressed with Daniel’s enthusiasm and his determination to complete his qualification in such difficult times.

“He is another example of how Acumen are supporting young people and those who may want to change career as we continue to grow.”

Daniel Frampton, Independent Financial Adviser, Acumen Financial Partnership said:

“I decided that during lockdown I’d knuckle down with the aim of becoming a qualified adviser as quickly as possible.

“I’m definitely ahead of schedule as I’ve not only completed my Diploma in Personal Financial Services (DipPFS) but also two additional certificates in Discretionary Investment Management and Securities Advice and Dealing and two other exams focusing on Retirement Income Planning and Senior Management and Supervision.”

“However, there is still more work to do and over the next year or so, my ambition is to complete my Advanced Diploma (APFS) which after five years of industry experience means I will be granted chartered status.”

Daniel, alongside colleague Sarah Jump, has also been shortlisted in Lancashire Business View’s Sub-36 awards.
