Podcast paying off for Darlington based firm

"Were having fun making That Mint Podcast and I think thats what makes the audience happy to listen in to us answering all the questions we always get asked about financial services."
Cathi Harrison, CEO of The Verve Group

North East based financial services provider The Verve Group is providing a fresh take on finance for listeners right across the UK thanks to its new podcast.

Cathi Harrison, CEO of The Verve Group, set out an ambitious plan for 2020 that aims to change the face of finance, and is moving towards this bold vision with the launch of the podcast which promises to mix financial wisdom with wit – and the odd glass of wine.

Hosting the podcast alongside her colleague Jo Campbell (Director at the group’s Para-Sols service), Cathi explains that ‘That Mint Podcast’, named after the beloved northern slang term and of course as a reference to money, offers listeners a current and funny take on the world of financial services, and is something that makes the industry more accessible to all.

She says “There’s more to finance than meets the eye and hopefully listeners will understand this after an episode or two. We answer all the questions we always get asked about financial services, we bring our professional knowledge to the subject in question and also our personal experiences which hopefully provide the occasional chuckle.”

The podcast is currently 9 episodes in (an achievement in itself, as industry veterans report that many podcasts cease production by their 7th episode) and has covered everything from retirement to insurance, uncertain financial climates to saving, and more in between, bringing in guests from elsewhere in the profession to take part in Cathi and Jo’s no-nonsense style of chat.

Coming from what is often considered quite a dull industry, That Mint Podcast busts that myth and many others, and as listener numbers rise into their thousands it is being enjoyed by a wide audience from both within the industry and outside it.

Cathi continues, “Feedback so far has been great. We’re having fun making it and I think that’s what makes the audience happy to listen in for a 30-minute episode. I hope the podcast continues to gain support and go from strength to strength.”

That Mint Podcast can be found online at www.thatmintpodcast.co.uk and is downloadable via all common podcast apps including Apple and Spotify (simply search ‘That Mint Podcast’). The podcast team can also be found on social media where they welcome new questions to answer.
