The UK’s leading supplier of model live steam locomotives for use on G scale, SM32 and SM45 railway layouts, Roundhouse Engineering, is on track for record growth and has been taking advantage of the support on offer from Business Doncaster, a partner of the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub Enhancement Project.
The Enhancement Project is aimed at supporting growth businesses and is financed by the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
Founded in 1982 by Roger Loxley and based at Churchill Business Park, Doncaster, Roundhouse Engineering has gained a global reputation for high precision model engineering with a selection of its top-quality products being featured on Channel 4’s Biggest Little Railway in January 2018.
After turning a life-long hobby into a business 36 years ago, Roundhouse Engineering now employs 20 staff.
