Building work on luxury retirement living apartments will complete three weeks ahead of schedule

"We take enormous pride in our work and enjoy creating homes where people can enjoy a long and happy retirement."
Wayne Green, Site Manager

Work on a new retirement living development in Romiley is set to complete three weeks ahead of schedule.

Construction began at the end of 2018 at The Folds, a brand-new Adlington Retirement Living development, situated next to the Peak Forest Canal on School Brow in Romiley.

Originally set to complete in April 2020, this date has now moved forward to mid March and show apartments will be available to view from 17 February.

Wayne Green, Site Manager, said: “Our team on site have been working full steam ahead and we’re pleased with the progress we’ve made and the quality of the build. We take enormous pride in our work and enjoy creating homes where people can enjoy a long and happy retirement.”

Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to view our show apartments in February. We’ve had a lot of interest and a number of apartments have already been reserved off plan.”

Adlington provides its Homeowners with an award winning* approach to independent living, where they don’t have to compromise on their lifestyle, their social life or their independence.

The Folds offers Romiley residents the best of both worlds. Homeowners can enjoy the privacy of their own peaceful and spacious apartment, spend time in the leafy gardens (which will be maintained by an expert team of gardeners), relax in the hairdressing salon, therapy suite or Homeowners’ lounge and then invite their friends over to enjoy the table service restaurant, without having to think about cooking or washing up.

Alexandra Johnson adds: “We want our Homeowners to enjoy every moment of their retirement. We constantly refine, adapt and invest in our buildings and interior design to deliver high quality homes and create welcoming retirement communities.

“Moving into an Adlington Retirement Living apartment is far more than just moving into a new home. It’s a chance to become part of a thriving community of like-minded people, with a shared outlook. Our communities provide a safe, secure and happy environment with a circle of friends, a family of like-minded people and a sense of belonging.”

Each luxury apartment at The Folds in Romiley has been designed to make everyday life easier, safer and more comfortable. Every detail has been considered from the natural light and user-friendly layout to the spacious storage cupboards and private patios or balconies.

Quality fixtures and fittings include hardwearing 80% wool carpets that reduce heat loss and add a touch of luxury, feature fireplaces, fully-fitted kitchens with integrated appliances and specially designed wet rooms.

Optional, additional care is available as and when it is needed, for as long as it’s needed and a 24 hour emergency call system is linked to a dedicated on-site support team, 365 days a year.
