Local Hull business holds fundraiser for Candlelighters charity

Hull-based company Pickerings Lifts held a charity celebration for Yorkshire Charity Candlelighters.

The lift maintenance and repair company organised a lunchtime event, with staff cooking up chicken curry, samosas, onion bhajis, poppadoms and pickles, as well as bringing in cakes and fruit for dessert.

Staff and engineers also dressed up and took part in games, digging deep to raise money for Candlelighters, which supports the families of children facing cancer.

In total, £60 was raised for the charity.
