Taggarts Glasgow puts its best foot forward for Children in Need

A Volvo retailer in Glasgow has raised over £600 for a children’s charity.

Team members at Taggarts Glasgow on Mossland Drive put their walking books on and climbed ‘The Cobbler’ in the Southern Highlands to raise money for the BBC’s annual telethon, Children in Need.

Ten individuals took part in the 11km hike, including Taggarts Glasgow’s Head of Business, Derek Muir.

The team reached the summit in three hours, and raised a grand total of £610 for the charity.

Derek Muir, Head of Business at Taggarts Glasgow, said: “Our team members were keen to raise money for Children in Need this year and so we agreed to take on the challenge of ‘The Cobbler’.

“While the climb was tough, team spirits were high - as we knew that we raising money for such a worthy cause.

“I’m incredibly proud of the team for raising such a fantastic amount. It was wonderful to reach the summit of the mountain together, and we are already planning our next fundraising adventure.”
