Preston Entrepreneurial Mum Shortlisted for Great British Entrepreneur Award

"I am delighted to have been named a finalist in the North West Entrepreneurial Spirit Award category of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2020."
Dani Wallace

An entrepreneurial mum of three from Preston has been shortlisted as a finalist amongst Britain’s finest business people for the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2020 recognising her incredible fundraising achievements, inspirational mentoring and entreprenurial spirit she has shown.

Dani Wallace, 36, is a highly sought after international speaker and speaker coach, as well as a professional singer.  Having overcome homelessness as a single parent, domestic violence and years of self-sabotage.... she is now a motivational force and fearless leader of the I Am The Queen Bee Movement helping women across the world Show Up, Wise Up and Rise Up - http://www.iamthequeenbee.co.uk

As lockdown hit, all of Dani’s gigs and events were cancelled, however, she knew that she had to help and inspire her clients and followers and so found innovative ways of keeping her business alive during lockdown.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards, in partnership with Starling Bank, celebrate, champion and support the enterprising minds that contribute to British industries. Bringing together a community of the brightest and innovative minds, the Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards shortlists entrepreneurs on their hunger for opportunity, work ethic and their willingness to find solutions to challenges and problems, showing true leadership in tough situations. Despite it being a tough year for so many, it’s clear that entrepreneurial spirit is very much alive and well.

Dani is the Leader of the I Am The Queen Bee Movement (#IATQB) helping thousands across the world to Show Up, Wise Up and Rise Up, with her advice and motivational teachings.  Hit between the eyes one day with her purpose, after watching Bee Movie with her kids, Dani heard this message: “According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. It's wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don't care what humans think is impossible” - and ever since she has been on a mission to help others who shouldn’t be able to fly, to fly anyway.

During lockdown, Dani hosted online karaoke’s, she launched her own TV show on her Facebook page, which have been viewed by thousands and has featured guests from across the globe everyday Monday to Friday at 8am. Dani also hosted a spectacular 12 hour charity chat-a-thon on 5th June featuring 20 celebrities and entrepreneurs, including; Six-time Olympian Tessa Sanderson, Nicole Jacobs, the UK's first Domestic Abuse Commissioner, BBC Eastenders' Toby- Alexander Smith, Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton and TV's Jenny Powell…to name just a few, who all came together for ‘real talk’ around how they have chosen to thrive not just survive life in lockdown – this event not only inspired entrepreneurs across the globe who were trying to cling onto their livelihoods, but it also raised over £16,000 for domestic violence charities.

Dani’s entrepreneurial spirit is very much alive and well, she said; “I am delighted to have been named a finalist in the North West Entrepreneurial Spirit Award category of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2020.

“The business climate currently is like nothing we’ve ever seen before - so my response to its challenges also needs to be unique. As someone very active in the online business space, I hope to continue to grow my reach via the I Am The Queen Bee Movement where I mentor people globally delivering my message that despite what we have faced we can all; step up, grab life and continue to fly anyway. Between my fundraisers, daily chats, course launches, online workshops and 121 work… I am also excited to launch the ‘Fly Anyway Foundation’ later in the year helping survivors of domestic abuse access vital training and tool to build their own businesses too.  I also can’t wait to host my live events again… fingers crossed we have the 10th September scheduled for the next big live event Bee Inspired. I’m going to be one busy bee!”

Due to restrictions due to Covid-19, the regional finals will be online on Wednesday 23rd September 2020 at 7pm.
