"The money we would have spent on buying a real tree and decorations has instead been used to purchase food and toiletries that Barnabus are in dire need of."
The team at AWH
Manchester based legal firm AWH Solicitors have gathered a large trolley full of goods for their chosen Christmas-time charity Barnabus, whilst also collecting donations to help the homeless of Manchester.
The team at AWH believe that Barnabus is an extremely worthy charity, so wanted to do their bit by giving to the less fortunate in their community over the winter months.
Beginning in November, the AWH team constructed a paper Christmas tree in their office which quickly gathered lots of donations to be given to Barnabus in 2019.
“We wanted to do something a bit different this year, so decided to get creative and make our very own paper Christmas tree.
The money we would have spent on buying a real tree and decorations has instead been used to purchase food and toiletries that Barnabus are in dire need of.”
From razors and shaving foam to baked beans and peanut butter, staff at AWH Solicitors brought in a range of donations.
Just before Christmas two male members of staff also underwent beauty treatment in order to raise money for Barnabus.
Suraj Ahmed and Andrew Clark willingly offered to undergo manicures and eyebrow tinting, which across AWH’s office managed to raise a great £150.
This money was used to purchase additional items to donate to Barnabus.
“It’s been a really great month here at AWH, with everyone getting involved with bringing in donations.
It’s such a happy time of year, but we all agree that it’s also a time to remember that there are people, especially in Manchester, who are less fortunate than ourselves, so we know how important it is to give back to our local community.”
