Age Concern Central Lancashire forges new collaborative with North Wests big three utility firms and Preston North End Community and Education Trust

Age Concern Central Lancashire has forged a new and exciting collaborative with Electricity North West, United Utilities and Cadent Gas alongside the Preston North End Community and Education Trust in a joint effort to reach and support older people across Lancashire.

The charity, who have recently won both the prestigious BIBAs Business Hero Award 2020 and Lancashire Business View Award at the Red Rose Awards 2020, were successfully allocated £50,000 by the big three utility companies in support of an exciting new community outreach project to be fully announced later this year.  In addition; the Preston North End Community and Education Trust will support the project through a number of wider joint initiatives.      

Suzanne Carr CEO of Age Concern Central Lancashire stated ‘We are thrilled to have joined forces with four really influential and purposeful partners in order to make services more accessible and to help people across our great county to live well and age well now and for the years to come.’

The collaborative project will commence in 2021 to coincide with the charities 40th year anniversary and will see Age Concern Central Lancashire and its partners hit the road to reach and support people across the county bringing information and advice to the masses.
