A prestigious acting academy based in the UK has unveiled its first overseas digital diploma with Dubai chosen as the launch city due to the region’s growing talent and role in the film and TV industry.
The Yorkshire Academy of Film and Television Acting (YAFTA) specializes in on-screen acting and has established an excellent reputation of attracting top talent, with students appearing in productions for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, CBBC, Channel 5 Sky, Amazon, and Netflix.

The pandemic has resulted in huge changes to the film and TV industry. One of the positive developments is the increasing opportunities presented by online auditioning and filming. We know there is an increasing interest in the screen acting industry in the Dubai region, with an untapped talent we can’t wait to meet.”
The YAFTA Acting for Screen Diploma: Online Interactive Delivery is a part-time course aimed at taking students from beginner to professional screen actors within 12 months. Taught entirely online, and run over two evenings per week, the course has been designed to fit around participants existing work, family, and educational commitments. Students will receive Equity student membership, Royal Television Society Student membership and an opportunity to be represented by a PMA registered Talent Agency.
